I wanted to let you know about a new petition I created on We the People, a new feature on WhiteHouse.gov, and ask for your support. Will you add your name to mine? If this petition gets 100,000 signatures by February 05, 2014, the White House will review it and respond!

We the People allows anyone to create and sign petitions asking the Obama Administration to take action on a range of issues. If a petition gets enough support, the Obama Administration will issue an official response.

keep and honor the comfort women statue in Glendale. Please say no to any intent or activity which distorts the history.

My name is Alberta Yoo. Recently, I’ve come across a news that there has been a petition to remove the comfort women statue from Glendale, CA, claimed that these women were volunteered to sell sex to Japanese army during the world war 2. 200,000 young women were recruited and forced as sex slaves,the largest case of human trafficking in the 20th century. The survived victims stories have been documented to let the world know about this tragedy. Unlike the German government who acknowledged the Nazi’s wrongdoings during the world war 2, Japanese government has not acknowledged these women’s rights.
